El Cielo’s heavenly vineyard

Located in the Guadalupe Valley, the El Cielo (meaning heaven) Vineyard is an ecotourism project located in Ensenada, Baja California where they produce wines under the care of renowned vintner Jesús Rivera. Here, you’ll find a divine selection to choose from, including sweet wines to dry-full bodied wines.

You can four different vintage lines here: Celestial Bodies, Astronomers, Constellations, and Stars. The Stars collection is an exclusive reserve collection that’s been fastidiously curated to indulge the most refined palates.

If your favorite part of a vineyard tour is the tasting, you’ll love what El Cielo has to offer. In their underground cellar, you can enjoy trying different wines in an intimate environment with tasting menus that have delicious appetizers that have been created to pair perfectly with your wine selection. And if you’re looking for the perfect way to end your day, you’ll love watching one of the world’s most beautiful sunsets while you sip on your new favorite vintage.

With its vineyard, wine, coffee shop, and boutique hotel, El Cielo is an oenophile’s paradise where you can enjoy the best that the Guadalupe Valley has to offer.

A stop you can’t miss: the Monte Xanic vineyard

Once upon a time, five friends came together to create unique, high-quality Mexican wines. Their grape varieties quickly conquered Baja California, including Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot, Malbec, Sauvignon Blanc, Chenin Blanc, Syrah, and Chardonnay.

The Monte Xanic tours begin in the reception room near the tasting bar where the winemaking process begins with a warm welcome. The tour then continues to the fermentation room where you can observe how the harvested grapes are macerated and fermented in stainless steel. Throughout the tour you’ll learn about the history of past vintages. It’s a fascinating tour!

Experience the underground cave which has unique natural walls made of stone that naturally encase the French oak barrels where the wine ages for several months before it’s ready to be uncorked.

The grand finale of the evening comes when a bottle of Monte Xanic’s most famous wines is uncorked. Are you a fan of open-air bars? Then get ready to try this incredible wine with a breathtaking view of the vineyard and the Guadalupe Valley!

Try the best wines at El Relieve

The Guadalupe Valley is home to some of the country’s best vineyards, and San Antonio de las Minas is proud to be the home of one of the newest vineyards in the area — El Relieve.

El Relieve opened its doors at the beginning of April and offers different types of wine including Chardonnay, Chenin Blanc, Pinot Noir, Malbec, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Merlot, as well as their special reserve vintages.

This vineyard doesn’t just specialize in wine; it also offers a gastronomic experience at its restaurant Mixtura where rustic cuisine inspired by Mexican traditions is fastidiously prepared to pair perfectly with the vineyard’s wines. With its art, architecture, gastronomic experience, and Mexican wine, you’ll love everything about El Relieve.
